Haier H3PH-1J10K-EU10kW three-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter, 4 MPPT

Overview

The H3PH-1J10K-EU is the 10kW model of the H3PH range, with four 16A MPP trackers for a recommended PV array of up to 16kW and full power from 250V. Battery charge and discharge reach 10kW at up to 50A within a 120–600V window. On grid failure it switches to backup in under 10ms and delivers 16kVA for 60 seconds. Up to six identical units can be paralleled, and maximum efficiency is 98.04%.

How it works

The H3PH-1J inverters connect PV, a high-voltage lithium-ion battery (120–600V) and a three-phase 380/400V grid. The 8kW and 10kW models have four MPP trackers, the 6kW model three, each rated 16A for high-current modules, with a 200–850V MPPT range and 1000V maximum input. Recommended PV power is 1.6 times the AC rating, for example 16kW on the 10kW model. Battery charge and discharge current reaches 50A on the 8kW and 10kW models and 25A on the 6kW model.

A three-phase Eastron SDM630MCT meter with three CTs and a 5m meter cable are supplied; the meter is needed for self-consumption control, export limitation and monitoring of household consumption. The inverter works with lithium-ion batteries only. Haier's own HHS high-voltage battery offers a dedicated Haier HV inverter setting in its control module, and other battery models are selected in the app.

Backup and operating modes

On a grid failure the backup port switches over within 10ms and can deliver 1.6 times rated power for 60 seconds, for example 16kVA on the 10kW model. Haier states that grid and backup ports support unbalanced and half-wave loads. Work modes are self-use (default), feed-in priority, peak shaving with an import limit and off-grid; time-of-use periods can be added for battery charging and discharging.

Installation and compatibility

The transformerless IP66 inverter measures 600×500×230mm and is naturally cooled; night consumption is below 25W. The manual requires 500mm clearance between inverters or other objects and 1000mm between the bottom of the unit and the ground. PV inputs use MC4 connectors, battery and AC terminals are quick-connect plugs, and a DC switch is integrated.

Up to six inverters can be paralleled through the P-A/P-B ports, provided they are the same model and power with equal battery capacity on each unit. Grid codes listed in the manual include CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1, C10/11 and G98/G99.

Monitoring and settings

Commissioning uses the app over Bluetooth; a Wi-Fi/LAN stick datalogger connects the inverter for remote monitoring. CAN and RS485 serve the battery BMS, a separate port the meter, and further ports DRM and dry-contact I/O. Battery model, meter position, work mode and the grid standard are configured in the app.
