Who we areNew, original GoodWe products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The GW6000-ES-20 is the 6kW model of GoodWe's ES G2 single-phase hybrid series. Two 16A MPP trackers accept up to 9kW of PV at 600V, and the 48V battery port charges at 6kW and discharges at 6.3kW with up to 120A. Backup runs at 6kVA with a 10kVA overload for 10 seconds and switches in under 10ms. In Germany the grid feed-in is limited to 4.6kVA under VDE-AR-N 4105. It fits single-phase homes using Lynx Home U or other approved 48V lithium batteries.
The ES G2 is a single-phase hybrid inverter that combines two PV trackers, a 48V battery charger/inverter and the grid connection in one IP65 unit. It stores daytime surplus in a low-voltage lithium battery and returns it to the house in the evening. In a grid outage the BACK-UP port takes over in less than 10ms, so routers, fridges and lighting keep running without a noticeable interruption.
Besides self-consumption, the inverter offers backup, time-of-use, delayed charging for export-limited connections and demand control modes. It can also work in a coupling scenario next to an existing grid-tied PV inverter: with dual-CT metering it measures both the PV inverter's output and the household consumption, provided the inverter firmware supports dual meter input.
The 48V battery port covers 40–60V and, on the GW5000-ES-20 and GW6000-ES-20, handles up to 120A. Each MPP tracker takes 16A within 60–550V, and PV voltage is limited to 600V, which suits short strings on residential roofs. The housing is fanless, weighs about 21.5kg, and integrates a DC switch, string current monitoring, Type II DC and Type III AC surge protection, with AFCI as an option.
GoodWe approves its Lynx Home U (LX U5.0-30, LX U5.4-L, LX U5.4-20) and Lynx Home A batteries and listed third-party 48V models from BYD, LG and Pylontech, with minimum firmware for each. A GMK110 or GM1000 single-phase meter with CT is supplied. GoodWe recommends a 63A grid and backup breaker on the 5 and 6kW models, a 150A DC battery switch and 25–35mm² battery cables.
Up to 16 inverters can be paralleled, although UPS-grade switching is only supported with three units or fewer and a generator cannot be used in multi-inverter systems. When more than one inverter shares a battery bank, or battery current reaches 120A, a busbar such as BCB-32-WW-0 or BCB-33-WW-0 is required. A type A RCD of 300mA (grid) and 30mA (backup) is recommended where needed.
Commissioning uses the SolarGo app over Bluetooth, and monitoring runs on the SEMS+ portal through a Wi-Fi, WiFi/LAN or 4G dongle; in parallel systems an Ezlink3000 is fitted to the master. The BMS link is CAN and the meter link RS485. The CEI 0-21 certificate for Italy covers the ES G2 with Lynx Home U and Lynx Home A batteries.
GoodWe Lynx Home U and Lynx Home A batteries, plus third-party 48V models listed in the battery compatibility overview, including BYD Battery-Box Premium LVS/LVL, LG RESU and Pylontech US and Force-L series.
Yes. In a coupling scenario it can be installed alongside a grid-tied PV inverter and, with a dual-CT meter, monitor both the PV inverter's generation and the household load.
The standard ES-20 models support AGM, GEL and flooded lead-acid batteries up to a total of 60V, although lead-acid connection is not available in some regions. The M versions do not support lead-acid.
The datasheet gives UPS-level switching under 10ms. In parallel systems this UPS function is supported only with up to three inverters.
