Who we areNew, original GoodWe products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The GW3K-DNS-G40 is the 3kW entry model of GoodWe's fourth-generation DNS range. Two MPP trackers each take one string at up to 20A, so modules on two roof faces can be connected separately, and GoodWe states up to 200% PV oversizing for the series. The output is 3kW at 13.7A, with 98.1% maximum and 97.2% European efficiency. Type II surge protection is standard on DC and AC. GoodWe recommends a 25A AC switch; CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105 and G98 certificates list this model.
The DNS G4 converts the output of two independent PV strings into single-phase AC at 220, 230 or 240V. Each MPP tracker accepts one string with up to 20A operating and 26A short-circuit current, so large modules can be used without paralleling. The tracking range is 40–560V, start-up 50V and maximum input 600V; between 560V and 600V the inverter stays in standby until the voltage drops again.
GoodWe states up to 200% PV oversizing for the series. Type II surge protection is fitted on both DC and AC as standard, and options include AI-based AFCI and a built-in transmitter for GoodWe rapid shutdown receivers. The housing is cooled by natural convection, stays at 25dB and weighs 9.2kg. A dry contact can switch loads or drive an SG Ready heat pump, and night-time power supply keeps monitoring active after sunset.
Install the inverter vertically or tilted back by no more than 15°, indoors or outdoors. Each unit needs its own AC switch: GoodWe lists 25A for 3kW and 3.6kW, 32A for 4.2kW and 5kW and 40A for 6kW. A residual current monitor is integrated; if an external RCD is required, use Type A with at least 300mA. The AC side uses a plug-and-play connector for cables up to 6mm².
Export limitation works with GMK110, GM1000, GM330 or GMK330 meters, or with a CT for a single inverter. Several DNS G4 or MS G4 inverters are networked through an EzLink3000 on the master unit, without a separate data logger. CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105 and EN 50549-1/-10 certificates list all five DNS G4 models.
Local set-up is done with the SEMS+ app over Bluetooth or on the LCD. Wi-Fi/LAN or 4G modules connect the inverter to the SEMS+ portal; a third-party platform must support Modbus TCP, and the 4G module also supports MQTT. Firmware can also be updated locally from a USB stick through the module port. RS485 is available for meters and Modbus/SunSpec integration.
Two strings, one per MPP tracker, with up to 600V open-circuit voltage and 20A per string. GoodWe states up to 200% PV oversizing for the series.
Yes. DNS G4 and MS G4 inverters can be networked through an EzLink3000 on the master unit, including export limitation with a GM330 or GMK330 meter.
Yes. The EMEA datasheet lists Type II surge protection on both the DC and the AC side as standard.
GoodWe publishes a CEI 0-21 certificate that lists GW3K, GW3.6K, GW4.2K, GW5K and GW6K-DNS-G40.
