Overview

The GW3000-XS-30 is the 3kW model of GoodWe's XS G3 range offered in the EMEA region. A single MPP tracker takes one string of up to 16A over a 40–550V window, and the output is 3kW at 13.7A with 97.1% European efficiency. GoodWe describes the 4.6kg housing as about the size of an A4 sheet, which makes it easy to handle on site. CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1 and G98 certificates include this model, and GoodWe recommends a 25A AC switch.

How it works

Each XS G3 inverter has a single MPP tracker for one string, with a 600V maximum input, a 50V start-up voltage and 16A input current, enough for current high-power modules. The tracking range is 40–450V on models up to 2kW and 40–550V on the 2.5kW and 3kW models. The output is single-phase 220, 230 or 240V, and the rated power equals the maximum output power.

Key features

The housing weighs 4.6kg, has no fan and stays below 20dB, so it can be fitted inside the house or on an outside wall. Protection covers string current, insulation and residual current monitoring, reverse polarity and an integrated DC switch. Type III surge protection is standard on DC and AC, with Type II and AFCI available as options. With a meter the inverter can limit export and record household consumption around the clock.

Installation and compatibility

Mount the inverter vertically or tilted back by up to 15°, never horizontally or upside down, at an altitude below 4000m. GoodWe recommends a 16A AC switch for the 0.7–1.5kW models and 25A for the 2–3kW models, and, where an external RCD is required, a Type A device of at least 300mA. The AC side uses a plug-and-play connector and the DC side MC4 connectors for 4–6mm² cable.

Export limitation uses a GM1000 or GMK110 single-phase meter or a CT; in three-phase houses a GM3000 or GMK330 meter can measure all phases. A DRED/RCR port is available for ripple control receivers. CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1, EN 50549-10, NC RfG and G98 certificates list all XS G3 models from GW700-XS-30 to GW3300-XS-30.

Monitoring and settings

Parameters can be set on the LCD or with the SEMS+ app over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Plant data reach the SEMS+ portal through Wi-Fi or LAN, or through an optional 4G module. RS485 with Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP is available for smart home systems and energy managers. Remote shutdown and the DRED/RCR functions are enabled in the app after wiring.
