Who we areNew, original Fronius products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The Argeno 125 (item 4,210,470) is Fronius' 125kVA three-phase string inverter for commercial roofs and ground-mounted plants. Ten MPP trackers, each with two string inputs, take 30A and 15.5kWp per tracker over a 200–1,000V range, up to 250kWp in total. Silicon-carbide semiconductors give 99.1% peak and 98.7% European efficiency. Type 1+2 surge protection is integrated on the DC and AC sides, and the AC terminals accept 50–240mm² aluminium or copper cables. This version has no arc fault detection.
Argeno is Fronius' large commercial string inverter. It feeds up to 125kVA into 400/230V or 380/220V three-phase grids, with 125kW nominal at 400V and 120kW at 380V. Ten independent MPP trackers, each with two string inputs, allow many roof sections or rows to be combined in one unit. Fronius uses silicon-carbide semiconductors and specifies 99.1% maximum and 98.7% European efficiency.
Each tracker accepts 30A and 15.5kWp, and each string 20A, with a 200–1,100V input range and 550–850V at full power. The inverter takes up to 250kWp in total. DC and AC surge protection devices of type 1+2 are integrated and replaceable, and an RCMU, insulation monitoring and DC disconnectors are built in. A variant with arc fault detection (item 4,210,471) is classified F-I-AFPE-2-4-5 to IEC 63027.
The 755×1,070×330mm unit is mounted on its wall bracket, vertically or horizontally, but never with the connections facing upwards. AC terminals take aluminium or copper conductors of 50–240mm² with M10 cable lugs; single-core glands are standard, with multi-core and AC Daisy Chain options for linking two units. The upstream breaker may be rated up to 500A. Argeno is an EMC class A device, intended for sites at least 30m from sensitive radio services.
Communication is wired: two daisy-chain Ethernet ports carry Solar.web and Modbus TCP SunSpec, and a separate static-IP port is used for commissioning through the built-in web interface. A wired shutdown input (INV OFF) and an error relay are provided. Its own feed-in limit requires a Fronius Smart Meter IP. In larger systems it can run as a secondary device under a GEN24, Verto or Tauro primary inverter, for up to 20 inverters and 300kW; above that, Fronius recommends a plant controller.
The AFCI variant (item 4,210,471) adds arc fault detection according to IEC 63027. Otherwise the electrical data are the same as the standard Argeno 125 (4,210,470).
Yes. The AC terminals accept aluminium or copper conductors of 50–240mm² with M10 cable lugs; Fronius requires lugs and washers suitable for Al/Cu connections.
The feed-in limit works only with a Fronius Smart Meter IP at the grid connection point, either on the Argeno itself or with the Argeno as a Modbus TCP secondary device of a Fronius GEN24, Verto or Tauro primary inverter.
Fronius publishes certificates for the Argeno including CEI 0-16, VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE-AR-N 4110/4120, EN 50549-1/-2, IEC 62109-1/-2 and TOR Erzeuger.
