Overview

The P3-Pro-15.0 is the entry model of the P3-Pro line: 15kW, 16.5kVA, with up to 30kWp of PV on three trackers that each take two strings and 7.5kW recommended DC. Two 50A battery inputs work from 150V to 800V, and 160V is enough for full output on battery. The EPS output delivers 15kVA, 18kVA for 60 seconds. Running quieter than the larger sizes at under 45dB, it suits big three-phase homes and workshops.

How it works

P3-Pro inverters have their own FoxESS manual and datasheet, with the same ratings as the H3-Pro models of equal power. Each unit joins a three-phase PV inverter with three MPP trackers of two strings, a bidirectional converter for two independent high-voltage battery inputs and an EPS output for backup loads. PV operates between 150V and 850V, the battery ports between 150V and 800V at 50A each, and the AC side on a 400/230V three-phase supply.

Key features

The PV input can be oversized to twice the rated power, 30–60kWp across the range, with up to 15kW per tracker. On battery or PV, the EPS output delivers the rated power continuously and 120% for 60 seconds. FoxESS rates PV-to-battery efficiency at 98.1% and maximum conversion efficiency at 97.1–97.2%. Export control, adjustable power factor from 0.8 leading to 0.8 lagging and peak shaving with an import limit are built in, with AFCI and string monitoring as options.

Installation and compatibility

Mount the 600×560×225mm unit on a solid wall with 500mm of free space on each side; it is IP65 and fan-cooled for indoor or outdoor sites. The P3-Pro manual lists AC micro-breakers of 50A for 15kW, 63A for 20kW and 25kW and 80A for 30kW on both grid and EPS circuits. Battery cables need 10mm² conductors, and the full AC output from battery requires a battery voltage of at least 160V on 15kW up to 330V on 30kW.

For larger systems, up to ten P3-Pro of the same type and power can be paralleled on grid or four off grid through a FoxESS AI-Link, which the manual makes mandatory; with EPS loads in parallel, each inverter needs its own battery. Diesel generator start and stop by SOC is supported via dry contact and an ATS.

Monitoring and settings

The supplied meter and the Wi-Fi/LAN module, with 4G as an option, connect the P3-Pro to FoxCloud for monitoring and remote settings. Work modes include self-use, feed-in priority, backup and peak shaving with an import limit, and a second meter can monitor another generation source. RS485, Ethernet, DRM, SG Ready and USB interfaces are available for energy management systems and service.
