Overview

A pallet of 36 EGING PV Aurora Pro+ EG-455NT48-HRc/BF-DG modules, 16.38kWp in total. Each 96-cell n-type TOPCon glass-glass module delivers 455Wp at 22.8% efficiency, with 35.61V Voc, 15.91A Isc and 30.08V at the maximum power point; with 135W/m² on the rear EGING gives 504W. The 1,762×1,134×30mm format at 21kg is aimed at residential and commercial roofs, with a 1500V system voltage and 35A fuse rating.

Module design

The Aurora Pro+ EG-NT48-HRc/BF-DG from EGING PV (Changzhou, China) uses 96 n-type TOPCon cells of 182.2×105mm with super multi-busbar interconnection, laminated between two 1.6mm glass sheets. The anodised aluminium frame gives a 1,762×1,134×30mm module of 21kg, with an IP68 junction box and MC4-compatible connectors on 4mm² leads of 300mm. Frame colour and cable length can be customised on request. Seven power classes are listed, 445Wp to 475Wp, with 0…+3% positive tolerance and 22.3% to 23.8% efficiency.

Electrical design notes

Maximum system voltage is 1500V and the fuse rating 35A. Temperature coefficients are -0.29%/°C for Pmax, -0.24%/°C for Voc and +0.046%/°C for Isc, NOCT 44±2°C. Bifaciality is 80±10% on Pmax; at 135W/m² rear irradiance the modules deliver 493–526W, and EGING also publishes outputs at 10% and 20% rear gain. The manual multiplies Isc and Voc by 1.25 when rating components.

Installation notes from the manual

For the NT48 bifacial version the manual allows 5400Pa front and 2400Pa rear when bolted through the holes 1,200mm apart, or clamped 256–306mm from the corners on the long sides; clamping on the short sides is limited to 1600Pa. Clamps must overlap the frame by 8–11mm and must never touch the glass. EGING recommends a tilt of at least 9°, a 10cm gap when modules run parallel to a roof or wall, and installation below 2000m altitude; sites exposed to salt water or corrosive vapours need special measures.

Warranty and packaging

EGING lists the EG-NT48-HRc/BF-DG among TOPCon modules with a 15-year product warranty. The power warranty for n-type double-glass modules allows at most 1% loss in the first year and 0.4% per year afterwards, ending at 87.4% in year 30. A pallet holds 36 modules (1,790×1,135×1,255mm, 796kg) and a 40ft HC container 936.
