Who we areNew, original Dyness products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The S51100 is the 5.12kWh module of the Dyness STACK100. It contains 16 lithium iron phosphate cells for 51.2V and 100Ah, with 4.864kWh usable at 95% depth of discharge. Modules are stacked in series, three to fifteen per cluster, on a base under the SBDU100 controller, giving 15.36kWh to 76.8kWh at 134.4V to 864V. Each module charges and discharges at up to 100A (5.12kW) and has its own aerosol fire extinguisher. It measures 590×390×133mm and weighs 47kg. STACK100 is IP20, for indoor installation.
STACK100 builds a high-voltage battery from 51.2V, 100Ah lithium iron phosphate modules stacked in series on a base, with the SBDU100 control unit on top. Three to fifteen S51100 modules make one cluster of 15.36kWh to 76.8kWh, operating between 134.4V and 864V. The modules plug into each other without cables, and Dyness quotes about 30 minutes to install one cluster. Each module is 590×390×133mm and weighs 47kg; the SBDU100 adds 133mm and 15.3kg and the base 6.7kg.
The recommended rate is 0.5C (50A, 2.56kW per module) and the maximum is 1C (100A, 5.12kW per module), with 125A for two minutes at 25°C. Usable energy is 95% of nominal, 4.864kWh per module. Dyness rates at least 8,000 cycles at 0.2C and 25°C to 70% end of life. An aerosol fire extinguisher is built in, the cluster is cooled by fans, and modules of different ages can be mixed within three years. An optional heating function extends charging down to -20°C.
STACK100 is IP20 and must be installed indoors, away from flammable materials. The manual asks for 500mm from other equipment or batteries and 30mm from the wall; when running at 0.5C or more in a room without temperature control, keep more than 300mm between the fan side and another cluster. More than twelve modules should be split into two columns. Up to 12 clusters can be paralleled when their voltages are within 20V, all are fully charged and the newest is less than three years younger.
The datasheet lists compatible inverters from KOSTAL, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, Solplanet, SAJ, Deye, Hoymiles and Solinteg, among others. For parallel clusters only the cable labelled CAN may be used. Clusters connect to the inverter over CAN or RS485; the battery is supplied with one cable labelled RS485 for KOSTAL inverters and one labelled CAN for the other listed brands.
The SBDU100 has a built-in Wi-Fi module for the Dyness app, including over-the-air updates. The datasheet lists CE-EMC, CE-RED, IEC 62619, IEC 63056, IEC 62477, IEC 62040, UN38.3, VDE 2510, CEI 0-21 and CEI 0-16, and the EU declaration of conformity covers the heated S51100 and SBDU100 versions. Noise is up to 55dB.
Between 3 and 15 modules, i.e. 15.36kWh to 76.8kWh. Above twelve modules Dyness recommends installing them in two columns.
No. STACK100 is IP20 and the manual requires indoor installation. For outdoor locations Dyness offers the IP66 STACK100 Pro.
Up to 12 clusters of up to 15 modules in parallel, 921.6kWh in total. Clusters must be within 20V of each other and fully charged when connected.
Each cluster needs one SBDU100 control unit and a base. The inverter must be a high-voltage hybrid model approved by Dyness for the cluster voltage.
