Who we areNew, original Dyness products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The Dyness DL5.0C is a 5.12kWh, 51.2V, 100Ah lithium iron phosphate battery for 48V-class hybrid and off-grid inverters in homes and small businesses. It discharges at up to 100A (1C) and charges at up to 75A, with 50A recommended, and is rated for at least 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge. The IP20 module, 558×545×150mm and 49.9kg, mounts on the wall, on the floor or in stacks of up to six. Up to 50 units can be paralleled for 256kWh, and Europe carries a ten-year warranty.
DL5.0C is a 51.2V, 100Ah lithium iron phosphate module of 5.12kWh with an integrated BMS that monitors and balances every cell and protects against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and temperature faults. Units connect in parallel on the DC side; the first battery acts as master, collects the data of the others over CAN and reports to the inverter over CAN or RS485. From one to fifty units give 5.12kWh to 256kWh. The datasheet rates 90% depth of discharge; the European warranty uses 4.61kWh as usable energy per unit.
Recommended charge and discharge current is 50A (0.5C). Maximum discharge is 100A (1C) with 110A for 15 seconds, and maximum charge is 75A. Dyness states at least 6,000 cycles at 0.2C, 25°C and 90% depth of discharge. Charging is allowed from 0°C to +55°C, or from -20°C on units with the optional heating function, and discharge from -20°C to +55°C. Each module is 558×545×150mm, weighs 49.9kg and is IP20.
The module is for indoor use only. It can hang on the wall with brackets, stand on the floor fixed to the wall at the top, or be stacked up to six high with the flexible brackets. Before start-up the master's DIP switch is set to the protocol of the inverter brand: one setting covers SMA, Victron, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, Solplanet, SOFAR, SAJ, Deye, Hoymiles, APsystems, SolaX, Luxpower and others, with other settings for Voltronic-type and Schneider Conext inverters.
For the battery settings on the inverter the manual gives 56.5V bulk, 56V absorption, 55.5V float, 48–50V cut-off and 52V restart, with 50A charge and discharge per battery. Each battery comes with 4AWG power cables of 1.5m, a parallel communication cable, an inverter communication cable and an earth lead.
Status is shown by SOC, RUN and ALM LEDs, and an optional Wi-Fi module adds remote monitoring and upgrades. The datasheet lists UN38.3, CE-EMC, IEC 62619 and CEI 0-21. In Europe the warranty is ten years with 70% usable energy retention or 14.303MWh throughput per unit; batteries used without inverter communication are covered for three years.
Up to 50 units in parallel, 5.12kWh to 256kWh. The first battery is the master and talks to the inverter; the DIP switches of the others stay at 0000.
Heating is an option. Units with heating can charge from -20°C; standard units charge from 0°C. Both discharge from -20°C to +55°C.
No. The DL5.0C is IP20 and the manual specifies indoor installation, away from sun, rain and flammable materials.
The datasheet names SMA, Schneider, Victron Energy, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, Solplanet, Luxpower, Deye and APsystems among others, and the Dyness low-voltage compatibility list gives the approved models.
