Who we areNew, original Deye products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
SUN-XL02-A is Deye's basic module-level optimiser: it mounts on the module frame and tracks the maximum power point of a single module of up to 700W, 80V and 15A, within a 12–80V range and at 99.5% peak efficiency. Fitted to every module of a string, or only to shaded, differently oriented or aged ones, it limits mismatch losses with any string inverter; Deye quotes a yield gain of 5–25%. The -A has no communication; for monitoring and rapid shutdown Deye offers the SUN-XL02-B.
Each optimiser is fixed to the module frame, takes the module output on its input leads and runs its own maximum power point tracking between 12 and 80V. The outputs of all optimisers in a string are connected in series and go to the string inverter or combiner box as usual. Deye states that module-level MPPT can raise yield by 5–25% where modules are shaded, differently oriented, aged or soiled. Ratings are 700W, 80V and 15A, with 99.5% peak efficiency.
SUN-XL02-A is the plain optimiser, without communication. SUN-XL02-B adds power-line communication over the existing PV cables, so no data wiring is needed, plus real-time monitoring of every module and a rapid-shutdown function that brings the array DC voltage down to a safe level. Deye notes that these three -B functions are available only together with its optimizer concentrator. Both versions use an IP68, double-insulated housing of 105×105×22mm rated for -40 to 85°C.
The manual describes full installation on every module of an MPPT input, which corrects both series and parallel mismatch, or installation only on clearly mismatched modules or strings to save cost. Leads are 4.0mm² with MC4 or MC4-compatible connectors, 70cm on the input and 100cm on the output. Connect the input before the output, and check each string with a multimeter before connecting it to the inverter.
For the -B system, the concentrator handles up to 4 strings of up to 25 modules, within 350m of the strings. It has built-in Wi-Fi and is powered by the supplied DIN-rail power supply, or from the RSD port of an inverter with rapid-shutdown function. Deye recommends keeping PV and AC cables more than 10cm apart and the optimiser-to-inverter cables as short as possible. Both versions carry CE marking.
Both optimise each module at up to 700W. The -B adds power-line communication, module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown, which work only with Deye's optimizer concentrator; it weighs 660g against 600g for the -A.
No. Deye's manual allows installation only on clearly mismatched modules or strings, but notes that full installation recovers the most mismatch loss.
According to the current manual, up to 4 strings with up to 25 modules each, depending on the inverter, at a communication distance of up to 350m.
Modules with up to 700W, 80V and 15A, operating within the 12–80V MPPT range.
