The BP2700 (A17C53Z1-85) adds 2,688Wh to an Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro. It uses the same 25.6V, 105Ah LFP format as the main unit, charges at up to 70A and discharges at 75A, and plugs in under the Solarbank without a separate controller. Up to five packs fit one Solarbank 3, for 16,128Wh in total. Anker also lists it as compatible with Solarbank 2 Pro, Plus and AC, and the Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro accepts it. The 24kg pack is IP65 rated.
The Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro combines solar charge controllers, a 25.6V LFP battery and an isolated bidirectional inverter in a single 29.2kg housing. Panels connect directly to four MPPT ports, the battery stores surplus energy and the inverter feeds the home through the on-grid terminal. Because the inverter also charges from the grid at up to 1,200W, the unit can buy energy during cheap tariff hours and release it at peak times.
Capacity grows by stacking up to five BP2700 expansion batteries under the main unit, from 2,688Wh to 16,128Wh. BP2700 packs share the 25.6V, 105Ah cell format of the base unit, so no separate controller is needed. Older BP1600 packs can be mixed in; in that case Anker limits combined expansion-battery charging to 2,000W, compared with 3,600W when only BP2700 packs are fitted.
Each MPPT port accepts 16–60V and up to 32A, with a 900W limit per port. Panels must never be wired in series, because two modules exceed the 60V input limit; instead Y-cables allow two modules in parallel per port, up to eight in total. The unit has an off-grid socket rated 1,200W that keeps essential loads running during an outage, with up to 2,000W bypass from the grid in normal operation.
The base unit measures 460×254×279mm and each BP2700 460×233×217.5mm. Packs stand on the floor with the heat sink facing the wall at 18–47mm, and the supplied L-brackets anchor the stack to the wall. Anker specifies tinned or bare copper PV cable in XLPO or XLPE, 4mm² up to 25A and 6mm² from 25 to 36A. The grid connection uses a 3m Schuko cable, and the earth of the socket must be sound.
Anker publishes an NA-protection certificate to VDE-AR-N 4105 for Germany, a TOR Erzeuger Type A certificate for Austria and CE declarations to EN 62109-1/-2. Rules for plug-in storage differ between countries, so check registration and the permitted feed-in power with the local grid operator before installation.
Setup and monitoring run in the Anker app over Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. Self-consumption mode and the AI-based smart mode need an Anker SOLIX Smart Meter to measure the household's grid connection; if the meter goes offline the unit falls back to custom mode. A time-schedule mode, manual backup reserve and smart-plug control for surplus energy complete the options.
Up to five BP2700 packs per Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro, for a maximum of 16,128Wh. BP1600 packs from the previous generation can also be combined, with a lower total charging power for the expansion batteries.
No. Each port is limited to 60V, so modules must be connected individually or two in parallel per port using Y-cables, up to eight panels in total.
It is optional for basic operation, but self-consumption mode and smart mode both require an Anker SOLIX Smart Meter to follow household consumption.
Loads plugged into the off-grid socket can be supplied with up to 1,200W from the battery. The on-grid terminal does not supply the house during an outage.
