Overview

A pallet of 36 Aiko Stellar 1N+66 AIKO-A650-GRH66Dw modules, 23.4kWp in total, matching Aiko's 36-piece pallet. Each dual-glass module holds 132 ABC cells in 2,382×1,134×30mm, weighs 32.5kg and delivers 650Wp at 24.1% efficiency, with 49.70V Voc, 16.64A Isc and 40.68V at maximum power in the current datasheet. The bifacial factor is 75±5%. Earlier datasheet versions listed slightly different electrical values, so check the module label. Aiko covers it under its utility-scale module warranty.

How ABC cells work

Aiko's ABC (all back contact) cells place both electrical contacts on the rear of an n-type wafer, so the front face carries no busbars or fingers and absorbs more light. Aiko lists partial-shading optimisation, a better temperature coefficient, high-temperature restriction and micro-crack resistance among the design features. On the Stellar range the Pmax coefficient is -0.26%/°C and the Voc coefficient -0.22%/°C.

Stellar versions in this range

All three share the 2,382×1,134×30mm format with 2.0mm coated semi-tempered glass on both faces, an anodised aluminium frame, an IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes, 4mm² cables and MC4-compatible connectors, rated for 1500V DC and 30A series fuses. Stellar 1N+66 (AIKO-A-GRH66Dw) uses 132 cells and reaches 645–680W; Stellar 1N+72 (AIKO-G-MCH72Dw) uses 144 cells for 635–660W; both quote a bifacial factor of 75±5%.

Stellar 3N+72 (AIKO-A-MDE72Dw) is the newer generation with 144 cells and up to 25.4% module efficiency. Aiko rates these modules for 5400Pa front and 2400Pa rear static load and a 25mm hail test at 23m/s. Packing is 36 modules per pallet, or 37 for the earlier 3N+72 datasheet version.

Installation notes from the manual

Aiko's installation manual asks for at least 10cm between frame and roof surface, 10mm between adjacent modules and the same orientation and tilt for all modules in an array. Clamp mounting needs at least four clamps per module, 6005-T6 aluminium clamps at least 50mm long and 4mm thick, overlapping the frame by 10–12mm within the zones tabulated for each model. Drilling or modifying the frame voids the warranty.

Modules with different electrical performance must not be connected in the same string. Between 50m and 500m from the seashore Aiko recommends its Sirius modules and does not support other modules there, so Stellar modules are intended for inland sites.
