Who we areNew, original Victron Energy products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The larger 48V off-grid kit: twelve 585Wp modules (7.02kWp) split over two independent Victron SmartSolar MPPT chargers, three Pylontech US5000 batteries (14.4kWh, 95% depth of discharge) and a Victron MultiPlus inverter/charger, with a GX device and touch display for monitoring. Splitting the array over two chargers allows two roof orientations. The exact MultiPlus and MPPT models are confirmed with the quote, since the listing does not name them.
These are stand-alone 48V systems for houses, cabins and workshops without a grid connection, or with a generator as back-up. SmartSolar MPPT controllers charge the Pylontech battery bank from the PV field, and the MultiPlus inverter/charger turns battery energy into 230V AC. When a generator or grid supply is connected to its AC input, the MultiPlus passes it to the loads and recharges the batteries, and PowerAssist adds battery power if the loads exceed the set input current limit.
The 4.68kWp kit combines eight 585Wp modules with one SmartSolar MPPT 250/100, two US5000 modules for 9.6kWh and a MultiPlus 48/5000/70-100, rated 5000VA and 4000W continuous at 25°C. The 7.02kWp kit uses twelve modules split over two SmartSolar MPPT controllers and three US5000 modules for 14.4kWh, with a MultiPlus inverter/charger and the same GX monitoring.
Each US5000 holds 4.8kWh at 48V nominal with 95% depth of discharge and 100A charge and discharge current. Pylontech's compatibility list includes the Victron MultiPlus 48V through Venus OS, with CAN communication, for on- and off-grid use. Pylontech notes that a Victron MPPT or another compatible PV inverter is required in off-grid systems so the system does not shut down. The GX device reads the battery BMS and sets the charge limits of the MultiPlus and MPPTs.
The MultiPlus is IP20 and belongs in a dry, ventilated room close to the batteries, never directly above them; US5000 modules are IP20 rack or bracket-mounted units, with at most three per stack on brackets. Victron gives a 200A DC fuse and 70mm² cable up to 5m for the MultiPlus 48/5000. The installer adds PV mounting, string cabling, DC fuses and busbars, AC distribution with RCD and earthing, and configures the system with VictronConnect.
Yes. The MultiPlus AC input accepts a generator or grid supply; the programmable relay can start and stop a generator automatically.
The GX device connects to the Victron VRM portal over the internet and shows the system on its touch display, including battery state from the Pylontech BMS.
Pylontech allows up to 16 US5000 modules in one group; the inverter's charge current and Victron's recommended battery capacity should be checked when extending.
