Who we areNew, original Solis products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The S5-EH1P6K-L is the largest model of the Solis S5-EH1P-L single-phase hybrid series, rated at 6kW grid output with 6.6kVA maximum apparent power. It works with 48V lithium or lead-acid batteries, charging at up to 5kW and 100A. Two MPP trackers of 15A accept up to 8kW of recommended PV at up to 600V. The backup port supplies 5kW, or 7kVA for 10 seconds, and the fanless housing is rated IP65. Solis states this model is not available in Germany.
The S5-EH1P-L series is a single-phase hybrid inverter for residential systems with low-voltage batteries. PV power from two MPP trackers supplies household loads, charges a 42–58V lithium or lead-acid battery bank of 50Ah to 2000Ah and exports the surplus. The battery side is isolated by a high-frequency stage. A separate backup port supplies selected circuits when the grid fails, switching over in under 20ms.
Four storage modes are available: self-use, feed-in priority, backup and off-grid. Time-of-use charge and discharge windows can be set in self-use mode. The PV input accepts up to 600V, starts at 120V and tracks from 90V to 520V with 15A per tracker.
The inverter weighs 18.3kg and is cooled by natural convection. It is wall-mounted vertically, with at least 300mm between inverters or objects and 500mm from the bottom of the unit to the ground. If the battery has no built-in DC breaker, an external battery switch of at least 80A (3–3.6kW) or 125A (4.6–6kW) is required. Solis specifies a 40A AC protection device for the 6kW model.
An Eastron single-phase meter with CT, CAN and RS485 cables are supplied, and a battery temperature sensor is used with lead-acid batteries. The series does not support parallel operation, and the backup port must never be connected to the grid. Approved lithium batteries, such as BYD Battery-Box Premium LVS/LVL, Dyness and LG RESU, are on the Solis matching list.
Settings are made on the 7in colour LCD with four keys. RS485 is standard and Wi-Fi or GPRS data loggers connect the inverter to SolisCloud for remote monitoring. A DRM port is provided where demand response is required. Listed grid codes include CEI 0-21, VDE-AR-N 4105/VDE V 0124, EN 50549-1, C10/11, TOR, G98/G99 and RD 1699. Solis notes that the 5kW and 6kW models are not available in Germany.
No. Solis states that the S5-EH1P-L series does not support single- or three-phase parallel operation on the backup port, and connecting units in parallel voids the warranty.
Yes. It supports lithium and lead-acid batteries from 42V to 58V with 50Ah to 2000Ah capacity. For lead-acid, the battery temperature sensor is connected to the CAN port.
On the 6kW model the backup port delivers 5kW continuously and 7kVA for 10 seconds, switching over in under 20ms when the grid fails.
