Who we areNew, original FoxESS products with full manufacturer warranty, supplied with their documentation.
The CQ16 is FoxESS's commercial battery pack: 16.07kWh of 314Ah lithium iron phosphate cells at 51.2V in a fan-cooled 390×235×810mm housing of 115kg. Packs connect in series under one CQ BOX controller, which is ordered separately; a system takes four to fifteen packs, from 64.28kWh at 204.8V to 241.05kWh at 768V nominal, at up to 240A continuous. With IP20 protection it is intended for indoor plant rooms, for example alongside FoxESS H3-Plus or P3-Plus commercial hybrids.
The CQ16 is a large-format battery pack for commercial storage. Packs are connected in series under one High-Voltage Control Box, called CQ BOX on the datasheet, which acts as the system controller with DC switch, power switch, LEDs and the CAN port to the hybrid inverter. A system needs at least four and at most fifteen CQ16, from CQ 64.28 (204.8V) to CQ 241.05 (768V nominal). The CQ BOX is a separate item.
Each pack stores 16.07kWh in 314Ah lithium iron phosphate cells and the system handles 240A continuously, 157A recommended, with 470A peak for 60 seconds. The manual rates the system for 6000 cycles at 25°C, 90% DoD and 0.5C to 70% SOH. Unlike FoxESS's wall and stack batteries, the CQ16 has forced ventilation with a fan in each pack, IP20 protection and no warm-up function; a fire protection function is listed on the datasheet.
Packs stand on floor bases arranged in columns; bases must be spaced 50mm apart so the fixing plates fit, and at least 300mm must remain free around the battery for cooling. The installation must be indoors. A full 15-pack system with CQ BOX measures 1710×1010×810mm and weighs about 1763kg, so the floor must be rated accordingly.
FoxESS designs the CQ16 for its commercial hybrids: the H3-Plus/P3-Plus manual notes that only the CQ16 control box offers three sets of power ports for the inverter's three battery inputs in parallel mode, and FoxESS Italy lists CQ16 configurations from four packs in its CEI 0-21 declaration for H3-Plus.
The CQ BOX shows system status and state of charge on six LEDs and each pack has a status LED. Packs are linked through their COM1 and COM2 ports, which carry both communication and module supply, while the CQ BOX connects to the inverter through its CAN port and P+, P- and PE terminals. The inverter reads the battery over CAN and forwards data to FoxCloud.
No. Each system needs one High-Voltage Control Box (CQ BOX), ordered separately, plus between four and fifteen CQ16 packs.
No. The packs are IP20 and FoxESS specifies indoor installation only.
Four packs with one CQ BOX: CQ 64.28, 64.28kWh at 204.8V nominal.
