Overview

SUN-125K-SG02HP3-EU-GM10 is Deye's largest hybrid inverter: 125kW rated and 135kVA maximum on a 230/400V three-phase grid, with two 100A battery inputs for 160–1000V lithium batteries. Ten MPP trackers with two strings each take up to 250kW of PV access power and 200kW of input power. Deye's configuration note matches it with 14 to 16 BOS-B Pro-A3 modules, and up to 10 units can be paralleled for larger commercial and industrial plants.

How it works

These hybrid inverters bring Deye's residential hybrid concept to commercial sites. One unit manages PV, a high-voltage lithium battery, the grid, backup loads and a generator. The battery side has two inputs of 100A each and accepts 160–1000V, with charging controlled by the BMS. The GM10 versions have ten MPP trackers and the GM8 eight, each with two strings at up to 42A, 1000V maximum and a 150–850V MPPT range.

The 125kW model accepts up to 250kW of PV access power (200kW input) and delivers 125kW rated and 135kVA maximum output; the 100kW models accept 200kW access power. Grid-to-load pass-through is 250A, and off-grid the inverter supplies 1.5 times its rated power for 10 seconds. Peak efficiency is 98.7% and European efficiency 98.1%.

Key features

Six time periods control charge and discharge, and up to 10 inverters can run in parallel on-grid or off-grid. A G-start contact starts a diesel generator; the GEN port is used for a generator only in stand-alone operation, or alternatively as a smart load output. A 12V RSD output with shutdown inputs and a DRM port are available, and digital inputs accept the German Section 14a EnWG signal that limits grid draw to under 4.2kW.

Installation and compatibility

The 161.7kg inverter (734×1091×344mm) is fixed with M12 bolts to a mounting bracket on a load-bearing, non-flammable wall, keeping about 50cm around it and 100cm in front, at up to 2000m as per the manual. Deye recommends 320A breakers on the grid and backup ports, 120mm² AC cable for pass-through current and 25mm² battery cable, with DC overcurrent protection on the battery side.

For storage Deye pairs the inverter with its BOS-B Pro-A3 battery, for which its configuration note gives 11 modules for 100kW and 14 modules for 125kW over two hours, and with the GE-F240 outdoor cabinet through the GE-F256-AP-A accessory kit. Grid regulations in the datasheet include CEI 0-21, EN 50549, VDE-AR-N 4105, G99, UNE 217002 and RD 140, and Deye publishes further certificates such as VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549 and G99.

Monitoring and settings

An LCD with LED indicators gives access to grid, battery, generator and system mode menus. Interfaces are RS485, RS232 and CAN, with a LAN port and logger interface; monitoring options are GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G or LAN loggers connected to Deye Cloud. Operating range is -40 to 60°C with derating above 45°C and noise of 65dB or less. The warranty is 5 years, extendable to 10 years depending on the country.
