Overview

A single Aiko Comet 1N module, AIKO-A600-MAH72Mw, rated 600Wp at 23.2% efficiency. It carries 144 n-type ABC cells under 3.2mm tempered glass in a 2,278×1,134×30mm anodised aluminium frame and weighs 27kg. At STC it gives 44.68V and 13.43A at maximum power, 53.99V Voc and 14.20A Isc. The 600W class is listed only in Aiko's Australian datasheet; the European edition starts at 605W, and connector and warranty details can differ between markets.

Module design

Comet 1N (AIKO-A-MAH72Mw) places 144 n-type all-back-contact cells (6×24) under a single 3.2mm tempered front glass in an anodised aluminium frame. With no busbars on the front, the full cell area collects light; Aiko quotes -0.26%/°C for Pmax and -0.22%/°C for Voc. The junction box is IP68 with three bypass diodes, the system rating 1500V DC and the series fuse rating 25A.

Datasheet versions

Aiko's current English and Italian datasheets cover 605–630W at 23.4–24.4% efficiency. Lower bins from 590W appear only in Aiko's Australian edition (590–615W), which lists an Aiko AIKO-01C connector and ±350mm or ±1400mm leads, where the European versions give MC4-compatible or MC4-EVO2A connectors. Operating range, hail test and warranty terms also vary between editions, so check the documents that match the delivered modules.

Installation

The 72-cell frames have four M8 mounting holes at 790mm and 1400mm spacing, plus four M6 holes at 400mm for single-axis trackers. Aiko specifies 16–20Nm for M8 and 8–12Nm for M6 bolts, at least four clamps per module where clamps are used, and clamps of 6005-T6 aluminium at least 50mm long. On roofs a 10cm gap under the frame is required for the fire rating.

Strings must contain one electrical class only, and the open-circuit voltage at minimum site temperature must stay within the 1500V system limit and the inverter input range. Frames must be earthed; Aiko does not support these modules within 50–500m of the seashore.

Warranty

Comet 1N is covered by Aiko's distributed-module warranty: 15 years on the product, with paid extensions to 20 or 25 years in the European markets listed in the warranty, and a 30-year linear power warranty. Output loss is capped at 1% in the first year and 0.35% per year afterwards, giving at least 90.6% at year 25 and 88.85% at year 30.
